Relaxing by the river!

After a tiring few days I had a nice long sleep and when I got up, couldn't be bothered to do anything! We moved rooms to one with lights and then went out for a late lunch in the hotel next to our guest house. After waiting an age for our lunch we paid the man running the restaurant and he was definitely on drugs! We ventured out for a shake, once again it was not happy and spent a while in an internet cafe – my laptop is having a hard time connecting to the internet so we had to desktop it which was quite good, Rory checked BBC sport to his hearts content and I rang Esty and got the goss!

We lazed about for the rest of the day and went for dinner in the same place but bought our couple friends with us! Despite asking the same stoned English speaking waiter to put my pepper sauce beside the chicken my meal was dripping in pepper sauce! If you ever come to Laos you'll soon realise that it doesn't matter what you ask for, you just get what they feel like giving you, when they feel like giving it to you! If you ever come to Don Det you'll soon realise that everyone is stoned and when you go to pay for your meal they'll throw the calculator at you and say “you work it out”! A very surreal experience but we're leaving soon so we stocked up on niceys for our long journey tomorrow and tried to have an early night!
