2nd December 2012
It feels like our time in Cambodia has
gone really quickly! We probably haven't done as much as we should or
could have, but it's been nice to relax a bit! We had another early
start and headed through town to the travel agent that booked our bus
tickets. There we waited for a mini bus which then drove us back the
way we came and stopped almost outside our hostel! All that effort
just to get a lift back the way we came! From there we boarded a
standard bus and made our way to the Thai border.
We spent about two and a half hours
clearing immigration which was insanely annoying. We got stuck in the
slowest queue ever with the slowest immigration official! When we
finally cleared the border we drove straight to the Khao San Road and
checked in to our hotel. At £17 a night it's pretty pricey but still
really small but I suppose you're paying for location and we're one
street over from Khao San which is where all the excitement is. After
a cheeky foot massage we met up with Rory's friend from the village.
It was our first proper night out in Bangkok and it didn't
disappoint; there were beer towers and ladyboys everywhere!
